Service Description

* provides primary health care services to youth and young adults (12-22 years of age) in a safe, caring environment where no one will judge the patient because of their age, gender, appearance, or sexual orientation
* offers confidential services, meaning visits are between the patient and their health care providers at Klinic
* does not need the consent of the patient's parent or guardian to attend (if desired, patients may bring a friend, parent, or guardian with them
* allows for an exception to Klinic's confidentiality policy only in the case of a young person being at risk and in need of protection

Common reasons for visits are:
  • Wounds, injuries or rashes
  • Pregnancy testing, birth control, IUD or Mirena insertions, prenatal care,¬†abortion referrals
  • STI testing
  • Vaccines
  • Depression, anxiety, mental health concerns and counselling
  • Connection to support services
  • General medical care
  • Information about nutrition
  • Feeling sick, bladder infection, ear or throat infection
  • Referral to a specialist
  • Free condoms
