Service Description

* is designed to support youth who are leaving or have recently left the care of Manitoba Child and Family Services agencies, and help participants successfully transition to independent living

* provides services intended to identify and address youths' strengths and needs for support and skill development in the areas of housing, child care, finance, basic living skills so that the youths' primary educational and training goals may be achieved

* expects participants to be involved for a minimum of 3 months, and they must participate actively in the program

* participants must either be receiving services from Employment and Income Assistance (EIA) or planning on receiving services once they leave CFS care

* is a 4-year pilot project with the Child Protection Branch
