Service Description

* runs two pre-employment program, Growing Opportunities (G.O.) and Level Up!
* helps participants through G.O. program to create goal orientated Life Maps, identifying employment and life goals, plus the steps needed to achieve them
* helps with résumé development, mock interviews
* helps find external job placements in the community
* offers supported work placements in and around the community
* offers employment counselling
* provides training opportunities at RaY: Kitchen Training Program, Custodian, Reception, Odd Jobs, Retail
* provides certification: CPR/First Aid, Food Handlers, WHIMIS
* helps get proper identification: Social Insurance Number, birth certificate, driver's license, Manitoba Health Card
* is NOT a paid program, but there may be opportunities to do odd jobs at minimum wage on a casual basis for youth who want an hour or two of work on occasion
* runs Level Up!, a 25-week employment and training program of which 9 weeks are spent in a classroom-based setting, learning life and pre-employment skills, followed by 16 weeks spent in a job placement; sll 25 weeks are paid at minimum wage rate
