Service Description
* supports families who are raising a child (or children) with developmental or physical disabilities, to meet some of the additional needs they may have* offers resources and supports to assist parents to care for their child at home and in their own community whenever possible
* connects a Children's disABILITY Services worker with eligible applicants to look at the family's specific situation, needs, goals and care concerns
* provides information about supports that may be available through Children's disABILITY Services or other agencies (child care facilities, schools, volunteer organizations)
* helps arrange for needed services and, as long as the child remains eligible for Children's disABILITY Services, a worker may remain involved until the child is 18 years of age, or the family or child no longer need these services
