Service Description
* works with child-care providers, families and community agencies to support children who are presenting behavioural, developmental and social-emotional needs or challenges in child- care settings (includes licensed child-care facilities, family child-care homes, nursery schools)* seeks to build positive relationships, support development, and promote quality care for children
* has a Behaviour Support Coordinator work with families and licensed child-care providers to develop a comprehensive service plan
* may involve working with the child-care provider to find better ways of understanding and meeting the child's needs, new strategies, resources and/or a relevant workshop, or coaching for the child-care staff
* offers professional support, guidance, referrals to services in the community
* provides workshops to assist with professional growth, networking, staff meeting support, behaviour support consultation, assistance in developing positive environments
