- * administers a shelter benefit, the Canada-Manitoba Housing Benefit (CMHB) Homelessness Stream in partnership with Manitoba Housing
* provides a monthly benefit of up to $250 that helps address affordability gaps in housing costs
* helps to support independence, and provide safe, stable housing to eligible tenants
* is a portable housing benefit within Manitoba - Eligibility
- to be eligible recipients must be:
* connected with a housing support program
* Receiving Employment and Income Assistance (EIA) or non-EIA Rent Assist
* In core housing need due to affordability
* A Canadian Citizen, permanent resident of Canada or refugee claimant
* Living in private rental accommodation - Application Process
- Complete and submit the program application form with your housing support worker, plus provide your tenancy agreement or completed EIA Rent Form.
