Provides acute care assessment and treatment services to mentally ill persons whose care and treatment needs cannot be safely or effectively met in another treatment setting. Wait period depends upon urgency. Accessed through hospital emergency departments, some direct admission. Coordinated at each site.
Clinical Health Psychology Program M4047 McEwen Bldg
Provides a wide range of evidence-based and cost-effective psychological evaluation and treatment services that facilitate diagnosis, expedite recovery, and, wherever possible, prevent the occurrence and/or worsening of illness and dysfunction. Provides evaluation and treatment services across the age span (child, adult, senior) for a range of health and mental health needs. Requires a referral, including the focus for service, relevant clinical history, and all patient contact information, can be faxed directly to the site or doctor of the particular service, if known or to the Program's Central Office 204-787-3755.
