Mental health resources in Manitoba

January 31 is Bell Let’s Talk Day. Its a great reminder that when we’re struggling there are resources out there that can help us or our loved ones.

According to the Canadian Mental Health Association, mental illness indirectly affects all Canadians at some time through a family member, friend or colleague, affecting people of all ages, education, income levels, and cultures. In any given year, 1 in 5 people in Canada will personally experience a mental health problem or illness, and by age 40 about 50% of the population will have or have had a mental illness.

If you or someone you know would benefit from mental health services, visit 211 Manitoba and select the Mental Health and Additions tile followed by the subcategory that is most relevant to you, or someone you care about.

If you are feeling suicidal, in crisis, or would just like to talk to someone please call the Klinic crisis line at (204) 786-8686 or 1-888-322-3019 (toll free).
